Secret Show! ANBERLIN

One of my favorite bands, ANBERLIN,  put on FREE SECRET SHOW!  They Tweeted that they chose Salt Lake out of the entire country as the destination of a secret show. Mandie and I had to go! Dads were on baby duty and the Moms were off to see their favorites play! We bundled ourselves up and headed to the Gallivan Center. It was like 20 degrees out! F F F FREEZING but ohhhhh so worth it!! They put on an amazing show as usual. Byron and Brandon survived their first time watching the kiddies without us  so it was a night to remember for all of us!!!!

Happy Thanksgiving! We went to Kathy's for dinner. So yummy! My favorite part is the rolls! We stayed there for awhile and then went to Brandon's Dads.

Grandpa D Comes to visit!

My dad came to visit a couple weeks after Chloe was born so he could see the babes! Boy was he excited. He was like a little kid on Christmas!

HALLOWEEN!!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!! We started up the family tradition of a Halloween party and everyone HAS to dress up! Bill wore a wig to the party and it was a HIT!! We had so much fun celebrating together. We ate sloppy joes, sang and danced. Maddox and Chloe weren't the biggest fans of their costumes but at least we got some pictures!

It's almost Halloween, my favorite time of year. I had big plans to craft and decorate big this year but that didn't happen. Who new a newborn would have squashed those plans..... I did get the paint these pumpkins at Brittianey's house. They turned out pretty fancy! Next year I want to make some more. I also got Chloe's Halloween costume.... So cute!! (Stay tuned for the big reveal)

I love how peaceful babies look when they sleep. Chloe was sound asleep so I decided it was the perfect time to take some artsy photos.

M&M (Milk and Murder Mysteries)

People have always said "new babies eat, sleep and poop!" I can now say that is soooo very true. Chloe is sleeping most of the day but every 2 hours like clockwork she knows its time to eat and wakes right up. For my sake I wish she would sleep longer during the night so I could get some sleep but I did find a new channel on tv that plays murder mysteries ALL night long. Thank you to the ID channel for keeping me company during Chlo's nightly milk runs!

This is one of the only pictures I have holding Chloe when she was first born. Looking back now I am pretty mad I didn't have Brandon take more pictures.... I definitely wasn't thinking. Can I blame it on "mommy brain"?

Mr. Katy Purry

Here is a good shot of Purry. Yes his name is Purry and I said HE!! My mom got him for me last Christmas and we thought he was a girl until we took him to get fixed and the vet said SURPRISE your cat is a boy!! Oh my goodness!! I named him in the beginning after Katy Perry and didn't want to change his name soooo Purry stuck. We ended up having to get rid of him because he was WAAAAY too rough with Chlo. So sad. I love you Purry. There might be more posts of him later since I am playing catch up.

Jaundice.... UGH!

We were home for 1 day and the Drs. said Chloe was a little yellow and ended up having jaundice. We had to rent a bilibed and she had to be in it ALL day long. The only time she was allowed to be out was to eat and change her diaper. It was so depressing for me. The new Mom hormones were raging and I couldn't hold her at all so it was pretty rough. We had to take her to the Drs. to take blood to check her bilirubin levels, which is what makes her skin yellow. Basically its the breakdown of red blood cells and the liver is suppose to break these down and dispose of it but sometimes newborns produce more bilirubin than the liver can break down. She had to lay in this fancy tanning bed because the light helps break down the bilirubin and makes her dispose of it faster. Luckily she only had to be in the bed one day! She actually really liked it too. She slept most the time. Secretly I think she takes after her dad because of he loves to tan..... Hopefully this doesn't lead to a tanning obsession later in her life! Sheesh!

Cousins!

The Cousins meet for the first time. Little do they know now, that they will become best friends and have to see each other all the time!! That's what happens when their Moms are Best Friends AND Sisters.

Little Miss Chloe Ann Fairbanks

Our daughter, Chloe Ann Fairbanks, was born on October 6th, 2011. She weighed 7 lbs and was 20 ins long. The second I looked into her eyes I was in love. Its a bond no one can explain but a mother. Its amazeballs!!! Its crazy how much a little little has changed our lives. From that moment on we knew our lives were going to be adventure that we couldn't plan for. Its been an fabulous ride so far.
